Clean To Care Program

What it is…

If you are ill or caring for a loved one with a critical illness as cancer you know there are only so many hours and so much energy in a day. As you are focusing on ‘one step at a time’ and keeping up your strength there are things that will slip. House cleaning is so often one of them.

Our program Clean to Care offers patients and their caregivers an extra pair of hands as they get thru their illness.

We provide Professional Cleaning Services Free of charge to improve the lives of women undergoing treatment for cancer.
We’ll focus on your house while you focus on your health.

Why women? Why cancer?

Most of us have experienced a friend or loved one who has been through cancer and more often than not we feel pretty helpless.

We wanted to make our part giving to the comunity but we knew that as a small business with no employees it would be impossible to take all the requests that would inevitably be made if we extended the program.

It is in our plans hopefully for the near future to extend the program also to men with cancer, women with non-cancer but other terminal diseases,
or women with temporary or permanent debilitating conditions like Multiple Sclerosis.

Why we do it

We believe responsible businesses look for ways to reach out to their communities.
We are committed to being a leader in our industry by doing our part.
As a local business we are grateful to have many loyal costumers.
We are proud of the services we provide and are happy to help those in need. We enjoy the personal satisfaction that comes from our volunteer efforts and count it a privilege to be able to put a smile on someone’s face.
Payment can take many forms.
The personal gratification that comes from helping others is an immeasurable reward.

How we do it

The Sweep Squad will offer to clean and/or organize FREE of charge up to three appointments offered once a month for three months.
The reason for the limited number of cleanings is to make sure we are able to help as many women in treatment as we can. The visits are often scheduled on Mondays but they can be eventually scheduled in any other day of the week.
We accomodate the Clean to Care visits within our Regular Visits Schedule so the Cleanings can be performed in a day that is convenient for the patient.

Who is eligible

Critically ill women undergoing treatment for cancer that live in the Greater Tacoma Area.

We provide cleaning for all women undergoing treatment for cancer. Period. We do not screen for finantial ability to pay although we do limit the number of cleanings to help make room for others.

The Clean to Care program is a gift we offer to help hurting women deal with one of the most stressfull situations life delivers.
